Owner Operator
Hayden
“I can make anything you want, and if I don't know, I will find out.”
Hayden is the owner-operator of Taupo Farm and Game Meat Processors. He has been a butcher since leaving school, completing his apprenticeship at New World in Whakatane, where he learned the fundamentals of the trade — breaking down whole carcasses, making sausages, and cutting steaks.
After a year working on the family farm, the butchery drew him back. He joined Plains Butchery in Edgecumbe as a homekill butcher, where he mastered the art of slaughtering and deepened his craft. An 18-month stint there was followed by six years in Nelson, working as a boner in the meat works while also handling homekill and pet food processing part-time.
By the time he took over Taupo Farm and Game, Hayden had built a well-rounded expertise across every facet of the butchery trade — and a reputation for going the extra mile for every customer.
